Choosing an RV park on Lake Conroe
By Park Find · 2026-10-11
Lake Conroe has more RV parks than most visitors expect, and they differ a lot: some sit on the water with piers and boat ramps, others are inland and cheaper. Park Find lists more than 25 parks around Willis, Montgomery and Conroe so you can compare them side by side.
Start with what you want from the lake
- Water access. Some parks list lakefront sites, a fishing pier or a private boat ramp on their own websites. Examples include Sunset Shores, Triple-B RV Park Lakeside, Willis RV Park and Lochness Marina and RV Park.
- Resort amenities. Others lean toward pools, restaurants and activities. Twisted Parrot Luxury RV Resort, for example, sits next to Margaritaville Lake Resort and lists a pool, a bar and grill and a fitness center.
- A quieter inland spot. Parks a few minutes from the shore can cost less and still put you close to the water.
Decide how long you are staying
Weekend visitors, seasonal guests and full-timers want different things. Some parks lease by the month only, while others take nightly and weekly guests. Turn on the Monthly stays filter on Park Find if you plan to stay long.
Use the filters
Tap Pool, Pet friendly, WiFi, Gated or Full hookups to narrow the list. Browse the Conroe and Willis pages, or the pool guide. Then open each park's page for its address, phone, photos and Directions button.
Questions to ask
- Are lakefront sites separate from interior sites, and does the price differ?
- Is boat parking or storage available?
- What are the pet and noise rules?
- Is the park gated?
- Are electricity and WiFi included?
Details change by season, so always confirm with the park before you arrive.
Try it: open Park Find, search Willis or Montgomery, and compare the parks on the water.
